One thing I notice as I drive around Littlehampton is where substantial trees have been left in the middle of roads. The trees have been given right of way with the roads modified to accommodate them.
There are several roads like this in Blakiston and in Blundy Way Littlehampton which were developed some time ago, when practical solutions were arrived at by local people.
These roads with their speed limits and the natural speed limitations of a tree in the middle of the road have to the best of my knowledge been safe.
As you drive on these roads, the trees create a wonderful sense of a semi rural or village type setting and is one of those quirky things that adds to Littlehamptons charm.
